When something speaks to you, you hold on to it!. When something resonates in your heart, you are built up and you won’t let that go. I can read something a hundred times, and then one day have that same thing stand out as bold as anything to me. Has this happened to you? Just one day, something you’ve seen so often, seems to change your world and your thinking!
At the beginning of this year, this exact thing happened to me! A verse I have read for years, just seem to JUMP off the page to me. 2 Corinthians 12:9,10 has changed the way I think in times of burden. It’s made me realize God’s grace is sufficient and powerful when I am weak. It reads this He said this to me, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. This is just what I needed during a season of ‘heaviness’ in my life!.
So, this post is for anyone who is weary, and struggling with tiredness. It’s for the one who feels like giving up, lost vision or has blurred dreams. It’s for the one who is heart broken, saddened or confused. The one that has lost their joy, peace or faith. The one who is overwhelmed and can’t keep up. The one who is sick or knows someone who is. The one who is looking at their finances and can’t see a way out. Or the one who feels like they are always failing …….
God says …… When you are weak, HE is strong!
I don’t know how He does it, all I know is that He does! When we trust in Him and rely on Him, His strength is shown in our lives!
Here is an awesome song that has really spoke to me just as this verse has. I hope you enjoy!
Thanks so much for this post. It really touched my heart and it came at the right time. Like you, I want God to show me how great and mighty he is.
Inspiration! Pressing onward, no matter what. Easier said than done at times…but a great reminder to stir ourselves up with His help 🙂
