To Those Who Have Lost Hope

Late November will always have great significance in my eyes!

On November 29th, eight years ago, I gave birth to our first little girl. As the doctors placed this six pound human life on my chest, my whole being filled with HOPE.

November 29th represents a day that God restored my hope. I saw Him, and felt Him in a deeper and greater way.

It didn’t hit me when I saw that double line on the pregnancy test, or even watching my baby bump grow. But, it was when I was able to hold a precious life , designed by God given to my husband and I.

I was overwhelmed with hope.

I hesitantly admit though, that years prior to this date, I was NOT full of hope. In fact, I am embarrassed to say that I was lost, with no hope at all.

When you are in a situation that screams of despair, it’s hard to get out of that hole.

“You might not have children honey”,…… “we have to do another procedure”,…… “there is no heartbeat”.  Over a course of four years, these are some of the obstacles we faced. Enough to slowly diminish our hope.

I’m sure you have been there ….. loss of a job, financial difficulties, marriage troubles, death, addiction, loneliness and in our case….. infertility.  If you are breathing  here on earth,  I guarantee there has been a time where you, or your family has lost hope.

Amazingly,  there is a way!

There is a light.

There is hope.

It wasn’t until I realized that God has promises for me!..  He has promised me a Hope and a Future (Jer 29:11). He has promised to give me my heart’s desires (Psm 37:4).

He. Loves. Me.

And He loves you just the same!.

This picture here, represents one of many pictures of what God has done in our lives.

Many of you know my story …. and yes, I will never stop writing about it. It’s a constant reminder of the hope I believe in. I think it’s important that we never forget what great things God has done for us in the past!.

We got through a ‘hopeless season’ because we believed in HIS work, we made it our first priority to TRUST Him.

So, this post is not to boast about the great things in my life….. but to only boast in the great things that HE has done, and to send out a message that HOPE IS NOT LOST!

No one should ever think they are ‘stuck’ in their circumstances. There is ALWAYS a way out!

I have lived and experienced that way out, and His name is Jesus.

Psalm 147:11

the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.
